Szaniec (Schanze) - a village set on the banks of the Odra river. At the start of the twentieth century it consisted of a few houses and a shop. The ferry crossing to Swieta was located in its neighbourhood. The modernisation of the beach was followed by establishing a camp site much frequented in the 1930s. The nearby windmill has been in existance since 1923.
