Royal Evangelical Teachers' Seminar,
moved from Szczecin, was established in 1862. An impressive
red brick edifice was situated at Kosciuszki Street
(Fuhrstraße). A wide avenue led to the main entrance.
The school consisted of the main building and two side
wings. Its sports hall was situated at Sienkiewicza
Street (Seminarstraße). The building, occupied
previously by Evangelical Teachers' Seminary, housed
a secondary school established on April 20 th, 1922
and named for J. Bugenhagen. It was destroyed during
bombardments that took place between September and December
of 1944.
